Original Rickenbacker

The Rickenbacker 4003 Bass is famous for its call hold, treble punch and solid underlying bottom end. He is noted for its characteristic shape, the body elegantly curved, accentuated by a subtle strip of binding, deluxe triangular fretboard inlays, stereo output, neck-thru-body construction, double truss rods, and high output single-coil pickups with wide response range and brilliant clarity. The Vintage Tone Selector activates a capacitor in the circuit collection acute-to highlight the high end. Pressed, we obtain the familiar sound of 4003, pull it out to add bite and sharpness.

In the short life of the instruments string and basses very few have actually won the award must be called "classics." Much less can claim the title of the standard industry – but no one can dispute the fact that the Rickenbacker 4000 Series deserves these titles. The piano wire, as the ring, punch, and sustain brought the bass out of the shadows and in the center of attention.

Unique style and unmistakable tone!
Original Rickenbacker low-power solid was first introduced once in the spring of 1957, bringing his unique style of Rock and Roll from the explosion of the early 60's and 70's. In the hands of teachers and low-Paul McCartney, Chris Squire and Geddy Lee, 4000-series of low built a solid reputation for tone and playability than comfortable. The last Rickenbacker 4003 Bass remains true to its roots, offering the same features of a new generation of players.

Neck-thru construction
True pioneers in construction of musical instruments, luthiers Rickenbacker was the first to produce a neck-thru design under the body. A single piece of wood of the blade to the final stage allows vibration of the string to travel freely through the length of the instrument. This results in a clear tone and sustain equaled by bolt-on or set of designs neck. The 4003 uses this same principle of neck-thru today. This construction process is too long for most brands of mass production to apply, but under many boutique builders are discovering the benefits of what Rickenbacker has been doing since the beginning. It may take a little longer to build this low, Rickenbacker knows but worth the wait. Get one in your hands, and you'll agree.

Balanced sound for different musical styles
Some offer low deep tone at the lower end of the spectrum, but the higher notes tend to be a little thin. 4003 The combination bridge / tailpiece Assembly reflects saner energy on pills for a consistent and balanced sound across the fingerboard. You get a piano like clarity at the top with a lot of grunt down. This is why Rickenbacker basses are interpreted by a diverse group of musicians. Lemmy of Motorhead, Andre 3000 of Outkast, Mike Mills of REM, and Chris Ross of Wolfmother are able to get the tone you need the same instrument. With so many genres represented, they'll dial in a sound that suits your style.

Super-thin body
Instead of cuts, bass-heavy designs used by many manufacturers, a lean, streamlined gives increased treble response and added 4003 punch. Both the body and neck are maple for a full tone, bright with a nice crunchy bite. The rosewood fingerboard adds gentle heat, so the notes in the upper register, not sound harsh or strident. Any style, any technique, is through expression, dynamic clarity.

All neck
The thin neck, has quickly become a favorite among progressive-rockers and under shredders alike. Check out some early work Cliff Burton with Metallica, Chris Squier jaw-dropping solos from the 70's, or any of the blisters Rickenbacker riffs Geddy Lee. You can play right-handed going from low to more and again without getting stuck as you would on a Low fat neck. You can be skinny, but also strong and stable thanks to double truss rod. Each neck is Designed with a natural curve, or "neck relief" to ensure the best possible string / fret contact. If the neck relief changes, receive fret-buzz and even dead spots in extreme cases. The soul inside adds rigidity while maintaining the proper curvature. The relief of neck tension is partly dependent string, so that changing to heavier or lighter-gauge strings can cause problems, along with fluctuations in temperature and humidity. In these situations, the dual truss rod system can be tightened or loosened to compensate for changing conditions, leaving all the notes sound as it should.
