Is the frequency of vibration that creates the individual note, and so it is important that the fret board remains comfortable, is clearly marked by its precision, and is made of a material which does not allow the rope slip too much when pressed, so that there is a pinch or grip, ensuring the chain does not buzz, and the note is correct.
