In terms of guitars, Dean Guitars are relatively new on the scene. They had their beginnings in 1976 when the teenager Dean Zelinsky decided he wanted to create a type different from the guitar design that was present in the market. His first guitar was a V-shaped and pointed which was both a function of design and helped to improve the tone of the guitar.

This was the way that both made their name and was also the reason that the company is a little slow to catch on. At the time, is not considered the mainstream. However, once people learned from them and started testing in stores, began to be continued.

After almost ten years of production, Zelinsky decided he no longer wanted to manufacture guitars and sold the company. Oscar Medeiros was the owner of the mark and trademark to mid 90s. The Medeiros guitars under the name Dean also considered quality instruments.

Medeiros left Dean Guitars of manufacturing in the mid 1990s or so when Armadillo firms bought the company and began making them. It was not long before they were contacted with Zelinsky. He currently works for the company as an executive and creative assistant. Zelinsky's presence in the firm provides an authenticity to the brand.

You can not talk of modern without mentioning Dean Guitars Dimebag Darrell Abbott, former guitarist for Pantera. He was one of their main celebrity endorsees until his assassination by a crazy fan. Before his death, the Abbot worked with Dean Zelinsky and design team. The end result of this collaboration was known as the Razorback.

In addition to Dimebag Darrel, Dean also has a list of famous artists who play their guitars. One artist was the late Randy Rhodes who played with Quiet Riot and Ozzy Osborne. Other musicians include Rudolf Schenker of the Scorpions, Michael Schenker of UFO and MSG, Billy Greer and Kerry Livgren, Kansas, Sammy Hagar, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, and Rusty Hill and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top.

In terms of styles of guitar, Dean has a few classic models and some newer models. Classic models include the Z, which is a copy of the Gibson Explorer and V, which is a copy of Gibson Flying V. more recent styles include the Razorback and the Razorback V, the vendetta, and the EVO.

Sound:

Sound is excellent, typical of this style of guitar Dean. Crisis of Nice, when amplifier is saturated, if not sweet. I use Fender tube amps exclusively. These pills do not scoop the mids as much as people think, they have (in my humble opinion) a very nice balance and the guitar is so good for the blues as it is for almost everything else, in the absence of a country super clean "," sound.

Durability:

The guitar is typical of U.S. Dean and very well built. Once the pot is replaced, it will be a great player and not have doubts about its longevity and its ability to withstand playing live.
