Guitars with stone fruits are possible, as well as plastic, although these tend to be the cheaper models. Brass nuts are very popular for the fact that copper can be very rigid, and helps keep the strings very strong, with no cuts or wear the material. More cheap and highly effective materials that are popular today are graphite and stainless steel, both materials that have the dual advantage of being very profitable, and very inexpensive, both as a chemical and manufacturing.
The other aspect of a guitar that could easily overlook as regards its importance is the board fret itself, which is also called the fingerboard. In acoustic and classical guitars the fret board or fingerboard is flat, but on the electric guitar is more common to find slightly curved. Pinching a string of the guitar with a finger against the fret board, effectively the length of the chain, or at least the part of chain is allowed to vibrate, shortens, and this in turn affects the frequency of vibration. Is the frequency of vibration that creates the individual note, and so it is important that the fret board remains comfortable, is clearly marked by its precision, and is made of a material which does not allow the rope slip too much when pressed, so that there is a pinch or grip, ensuring the chain does not buzz, and the note is correct.
